Mi Casita Montessori is dedicated to offering an authentic Montessori environment for children of all socio-economic backgrounds. We are currently accepting applications of children ages 2.5-6 for the 2013 school year.
Tuition for the 2013 school year will be 350Q per month, plus an inscription fee.
In order to guarantee enrollment to students from low-income households, MCM has established a scholarship fund that provides enrollment free of cost for students who have a demonstrated need. Families must first apply for the program and will be granted scholarships following a series of home visits and family interviews, conducted by staff, in which their level of need will be assessed. If you are interested in donating to our scholarship fund, please send a check with a memo reading Mi Casita Montessori to:

Mi Casita Montessori recognizes that parent involvement is a critical component of the school’s success. Each child’s entry to school begins with home visits and family interviews conducted by Shirley Lopez Yancor prior to enrollment. These interviews provide an opportunity to inform parents about the philosophy of the school, as well as to ascertain the specific needs of each student and his or her family. Following enrollment, Shirley provides an initial parent orientation, held at the school, to familiarize parents with the prepared environment and Montessori teaching methods. Throughout our school year, various parent education events allow families to connect to one another, learn about the Montessori method, and to gain skills for bringing the Montessori method into their home environments.
Over the past 2 years, the Mi Casita Montessori community has grown stronger. The families all work together to support the basic maintainence of the school through a cleaning schedule. Monthly parent education events often draw 80 to 90% of our parent body. As we grow, we continue to be committed to bringing parent education to our community.
